Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – In recent days, a comedian/ventriloquist and a lovable children’s character have become the latest performances announced at the Bank of Springfield Center downtown.

The center Monday announced that Jeff Dunham will take to the BOS stage on Saturday, April 11, 2026.  The comic legend, and his cast of characters, will be there, with tickets going on sale Monday, September 29, at 10am.

On Friday, the BOS Center announced that “Sesame Street Live!” will perform on December 2.  It’s described as a brand new live show, called “Elmo & Friends Say Hello”.  The center says, according to a news release, “you can sing and dance with your favorite furry friends while enjoying fun surprises along the way.”  In addition to Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby will be part of the show, for which tickets are already on sale.
