Crash kills woman, 66

(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Police say a driver in a fatal rear-end crash in Lincoln Thursday night was drunk.

Shaun Cook, 38, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence. He was driving an SUV which struck a minivan at the intersection of Logan and Peoria Streets in Lincoln around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Dead is a passenger in the minivan, Chrisstine Shaub, 66. She was pronounced dead at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Police say Cook was taken to jail after his release from Springfield Memorial Hospital.
