UPDATED 10:00 A.M.

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – City Water, Light, & Power says a fire in a decommissioned smokestack scrubber is what you could see for miles around Tuesday morning.

The utility says the fire was able to be isolated to Dallman Units 31 and 32. That’s where a contractor was working.

No one was hurt.

Dallman 4 is still in operation, and the utility says there was no impact to that, or to any other facilities and equipment.
