SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Autopsy results indicate a man involved in a motorcycle crash Saturday near Route 54 and Camp Butler Road suffered multiple blunt force injuries.

The Sangamon County Coroner’s Office, according to a news release, identified him as 42-year-old William McCarthy of Springfield.

McCarthy was transported to HSHS St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 9pm Saturday evening.

An investigation into the crash continues.
